YAKIMA – The problem of cyber-bullying has been in the news a lot lately, and in the aftermath of several tragedies, there is now a phone app to make sure your child isn’t a victim.
It’s called Word Bully; an app that allows parents to put filters on their kid’s phones and keep track of what’s being sent and received.
Any questionable content is flagged and forwarded to the parent.
As you can imagine, parents think it’s a valuable tool.
“Yea I would be interested in knowing the information because I wouldn’t want my kids saying those types of things to other kids,” said parent Damian Shelton.
The app keeps track of more than 3-thousand words and phrases that might be considered offensive.
You can download it for free until the 15th.
After that, it will run you about 10-bucks.
