We are seeking a special web person to join our multidisciplinary agency.
We are a small friendly team based in Thames Ditton just outside Kingston-Upon-Thames. We are a well established online, print and communications agency – and are looking for someone who stands out from the crowd to join our web team.
This is not a salaried position – instead we are offering a unique opportunity for a freelancer who is looking for regular work to be based in our studio and assist us with our web projects as and when they come in (yes, that means free full time desk space to work on your own projects at the same time). You are of course free to take on your own work, while working as our in house developer.
Our ideal person must have the following skills:
• Solid grounding in PHP programming
• Experience developing dynamic sites using WordPress – you should be familiar with coding for WordPress, including customising templates and plugins.
• Experienced in design for the web, best practice and common trends
• Ability to translate designs from Photoshop to valid HTML/CSS
• Good knowledge of JQuery.
• Excellent communication skills.
Ideally skill-set will also include:
• Good knowledge of MySQL database design
• User interface design techniques.
• Other CMS / PHP framework knowledge
You will get a great studio space to work in, an iMac with all the latest software (if needed), and unlimited use of our cappuccino machine! We have a young and dynamic team and are looking for someone not just with the relevant skill-set but someone who is a great fit to our team, we value interpersonal skills highly and are looking for someone who feels the same way.
