Keokuk Police Department Assistant Chief Dave Hinton will implement a forensic computer task force in Lee County with funding secured through federal grants, according to Keokuk Police Chief Tom Crew.
Therefore, the Lee County Narcotics Task Force commander position has been transferred to Investigator Stacy Weber of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office by agreement of the Narcotics Task Force Control Board.
Hinton served as commander for seven years.
Keokuk remains the host agency for the narcotics task force.
Weber is a former investigator and field supervisor of the Lee County Narcotics Task Force.
He will now oversee day-to-day operations of the unit.
