If you’re a parent and think this applies to your teenager, have them watch it and invite them to tell you more. When you do that, you’re less likely to become defensive and more likely to listen.
If you’re a teenager and trying to get through to a parent whose advice you don’t want and whose advice only makes you feel worse, give it to your mother and/or father and tell them this is what you’ve been trying to tell them.
