Police investigating identity theft in Loyalsock

The Pennsylvania State Police released a report of identity theft in Loyalsock Township.  According to the report, on August 8, 2015, an actor used an email address similar to the victim’s email address to contact the victim’s financial advisor.  The financial advisor sent a check for $5,650 to the actor.  The check was then cashed in Baltimore, MD.  No charges or suspects have been reported at this time.  The victim’s identity was withheld.
