Carlos Santana married fiancée Cindy Blackman on Dec. 19,2010 and now the guitar legend is talking about their beautiful Maui wedding.

“The weather was kind of iffy, so we said, ‘Let’s just do it inside,’” 63-year-old Santa tells People magazine. “Because no matter where we did it, the sun was shining.”
The two became engaged in July when Santana proposed to Blackman, a drummer, during their concert in Tinley Park, Illinois. The two sealed it with a kiss, which was met with cheers from the crowd.
“Cindy and I are blessed to have found each other,” Santana said in a statement on his website shortly after the proposal.
This is the second marriage for the guitar legend. He and Deborah Santana ended their 34-year marriage in 2007.
Blackman tells People about her ceremony, “My favorite part of the ceremony was when we washed our hands in a bowl of rainwater. We absolved ourselves of all things past and all things future except the two of us. It felt so clearing to do that.”
The wedding, which has 180 guests, included stars like George Lopez and musicians Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter. “That took the wedding to a whole other level of the word supreme,” Santana told the magazine.
According to People, Blackman wore a custom dress from Zurich boutique Zoro. The couple honeymooned in Hawaii for the holidays before Santana set out to work his new gig at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel Casino Las Vegas.
“Cindy is a match with everything that I am, from fire of passion to vulnerability,” Santana said. “Everything tastes better when you share it with your soul mate.”
