Coach pleads no contest to child porn charges

A former youth basketball coach has pleaded no contest to some serious charges.

Former coach and organizer for the Rhode Island Hawks Basketball program, Jason Elliot was arrested in 2013.

The program sponsors teams for boys in grades 5 through 12.

He was sentenced to two years in prison and two years on home confinement on Monday.

Charges include possession of child porn, transfer of child porn, and multiple counts of indecent solicitation of a minor.
