A Cortland man was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to 22 counts of sex crimes involving children.
Michael Lennox, 49, pleaded guilty to nine counts of illegal use of minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, three counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, two counts of gross sexual imposition, four counts of importuning, and four counts of public indecency.
Authorities say a 13-year-old female victim told police Lennox exposed himself in front of her. The victim’s parents also found graphic text messages on her phone allegedly sent from Lennox. That’s when the victim’s parents went to police.
Lennox also revealed to police that he had child porn on his cellphone.
