The non-profit industry body said that there have been ‘a few cases’ of Internet banking customers whose computers were infected by the SpyEye malware.

It is not known how many users in Singapore were affected and their losses. The ABS and banks contacted by The Straits Times would not provide details.

SpyEye infects web browsers and modify webpages to steal valuable personal information like banking logins, passwords and credit card data.
