  • Hacker left Facebook user feeling violated: LETTER OF THE DAY

Updated 1 hour ago

I was recently contacted on Facebook by a hacker that hacked a friend’s account, telling me they needed my Hotmail password and username to get into MSN because their cousin was missing and their aunt was very worried.

I was skeptical, but because I knew this person and felt safe, I sent my password to that person.

The difference between this type of hacking is that the hacker was making conversation with me and it seemed different.

So a couple minutes later my friend messaged me, saying that her account was hacked and that I should change all my passwords associated with that account.

So I did just that, and then a week went by and nothing happened, until one night when my friend notified me that she believed my account was hacked.

I quickly went on to my Facebook and Hotmail to check, and I was unable to log on. It took me hours to get back onto my account and notify everyone that my account was hacked. But by then it was too late.

Many of my Facebook friends had already sent me their passwords, and now their accounts are going to be hacked.

This is such a major concern as myself and many others have sensitive and private information within their Hotmail and Facebook accounts, and these hackers can get so much information off this and steal people’s identities.

I hope this spreads the word hopefully puts an end to this. I really hope this doesn’t keep happening.
