Sacramento Valley High-Tech Crimes Task Force detectives are asking the public’s help in identifying a woman suspected of using a counterfeit credit card to purchase items at a Target store in Rancho Cordova last month. The woman, shown in a surveillance photo, is suspected of using the counterfeit card to conduct two fraudulent transactions about 4:18 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Target store on Olson Drive, according to a task force news release. She is described as in her late 20s or early 30s, about 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 180 to 220 pounds, with mid-torso-length straight black hair. She was wearing black-rimmed glasses, a black and white “PINK” sweatshirt and light-colored capris pants. Anyone with information regarding the case or the woman’s identity is asked to call the task force at (916) 874-3000 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-4357. Tip information also may be submitted via the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department’s website, www.sacsheriff.com, by texting 274637 and entering the keyword “SSD”, or at (916) 874-8477.
