How to tell if your Note5 or Galaxy S6 edge+ has a Sony or Samsung camera

As the Samsung faithful may know, the South Korean manufacturer is making use of two different sensors for the main camera with the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge: the Sony IMX240 and a home-made ISOCELL unit. This, more than anything, prompted us to check our own Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ review samples to see which one they got, and also make us wonder whether the same split will be true with the new phablets. A quick web search suggests that yes, there’s once again going to be a difference from device to device.
