Ida B. Wells included in the new African-American history museum

idaIda B. Wells is among the many history makers included in the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. The African-American history museum was established by Act of Congress in 2003 and is the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, history, and culture. A ceremony and dedication by President Obama will mark the grand opening of the museum on September 24, 2016 in Washington, D.C. Descendants of Ida B. Wells will be in attendance.
