LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – A man convicted in Lubbock of being an Illegal Alien In Possession of a Firearm must serve 16 months in prison. Jesus Maria Ochoa, 33, who lists his address in Brownfield, was sentenced last week in Lubbock federal court.
Official records say Brownfield Police found a .40 caliber pistol in his bedroom while executing a search warrant back in June. Those same court records say Ochoa admits to being in the U.S. illegally from Mexico.
