Position: Information Technology Specialist
Report To:  PM and Customer

Work Location: Washington, DC Metro Area
Start Date: Upon Contract AwardAdvantage SCI, LLC is currently accepting applications for an Information Technology Specialist candidates to be considered for employment to support a government agency in the Washington, DC Metro Area.

Summary of Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Providing system administration support to specific networks that supports operations;
• Performing security requirements for transferring information between specific networks;
• Working with IT and the Information System Security POC to maintain network equipment, including accomplishing anti-virus updates and installing patches;
• Resolving IT-related problems, and obtaining network operating approvals; establishing and maintaining network accreditation requirements
• The responsibilities also include performing property and equipment management duties associated with the government furnished equipment to include maintaining computers and other equipment used to support the Team program
• Ensuring hardware and software configuration control for all field computers and equipment
• Maintaining all assigned equipment in support of the Team program and providing a status report to the COR and Logistics Officer on a routine basis regarding defective equipment and new/replacement equipment needs
• All other specific duties for the IT specialist are to be conducted in accordance with the Team Process
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Have an active TS/SCI
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology related field.
• Minimum 10 years of applicable experience either military or comparable civilian experience with a focus on information technology.
• Experience working in a SCIF environment.
• DoD Level II IT Certification or equivalent
• In-depth experience in the various Microsoft operating systems, platforms, and office products.
Desired Skills/Qualifications
• Master’s degree in related field
• Experience with DoD Information Assurance policies and procedures.
• Experience with networking in a small business environment.
• Experience with shipping and deploying classified information and equipment.
• Experience with audio and video teleconferencing equipment.
• Experience with satellite Internet configurations and associated network.
• Experience with procurement of Information Technology within DoD.
• Experience supporting Microsoft suites, Adobe Acrobat suite, Retina, Gold disk, Document Detective, VMware, Snagit, Skybox, MapPoint, VAPO, Hazard Prediction and Assessment Capability (HPAC), High Explosive (HE) Blast, Integrated Munitions Effects Assessment (IMEA), Antiterrorism (AT) Blast Component Explosive Damage Assessment Workbook (CEDAW).
• Experience building and deploying workstations through the use of imaging software.
• Experience troubleshooting complex desktop issues in complex environments.
• Experience performing auditing functions for IT systems within classified environments.
• Experience with IT call tracking systems.

Working Conditions
• Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
• Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and move heavy objects such as CRT monitors and computers
• Able to walk long distances without assistance
