The majority of the cases were asymptomatic and, as of Monday, they have not required hospitalization, officials said. A total of 62 children were tested.
Daycare staff have followed guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including wearing masks, per Albany Med policy, officials said.
The hospital suspended the program beginning Monday and the suspension is to run through Aug. 7, officials said.

“Albany Med promptly notified the parents and the Albany County Department of Health of the situation. Albany Med continues working with the county health department and our parents to inform them of any developments. As always, the safety of our children and their families is our top priority,” a release issued Monday reads.
Children have been asked not to return to the program until after the recommended 14-day incubation period from the last date of possible exposure, officials said.
