Vanitha Vijayakumar, who was married recently, has now embroiled in another controversy. Quite irked by the comments made by producer Ravinder and Surya Devi (a lady who made videos abusing Vanitha) on her personal life, she lodged a police complaint on them, and called for a press meet on Tuesday morning to brief media about the issue. She was accompanied by her lawyer Sridhar, who accused of Surya Devi for drug peddling. According to Vanitha, she deiced to take the legal route when Sridhar was also dragged unnecessarily into the issue.

She said, “I have been attacked for a while for no reason by an unknown lady and a guy who, unfortunately, is from movie industry. They have been spreading rumours about my personal life, including children. Though I tried my best to ignore it initially, I felt I should react as the cyber bullying and character assassination was too much to overlook. I have got assurance front the cops that an action will be taken against them in a couple of days.”

Sridhar asserted that he holds the proof of Surya having conversation with someone regarding her drug business and that he will release the audio clip soon. He further added that Kalakka Povathu Yaaru fame Nanjil Vijayan also has a major part to play in it. He said, “I have evidences pertaining to the involvement of both Surya and Nanjil. I have requested Ass Commissioner office to verify Surya’s voice in the clip I had submitted. Though we have been assured of appropriate action, we are also told that the accused can’t be booked now due to pandemic. Vanitha has been a victim a paid attack by social media users, but unfortunately, there isn’t a strong law to book those who indulge in cyber bullying.”
