A man considered to be a sexually violent predator has been released from custody and is living at the Super 8 Motel, 2446 Main St., in Longmont.
David Nicolai Bland was required to register as a sexually violent predator after he was convicted of attempted sex assault on a child in Boulder County in 2011 and failure to register as a sex offender in Boulder County in 2016. He also was convicted in 1991 of attempted rape by force/fear and sexual battery in Los Angeles County, Calif., according to a Facebook post from the Longmont Police Department.
Colorado Law requires police departments to publicly share information about parties determined to be sexually violent predators.
There are currently 289 registered sex offenders in Longmont. Of those, five are classified as sexually violent predators.
