Money Heist is as addictive as ever (Picture: Netflix)

Money Heist 4 (aka La Casa de Papel) is Netflix’s foreign language juggernaut, and has been keeping us thrilled with its latest installments – but the one bad thing about it is it’s all over too quickly.

Throw in the fact that everyone should be self-isolating, and it was zoomed through even faster as the twisted tale of the bank robbers got even more twisted and dramatic.

So, what can you watch next? Thankfully, Netflix (and us at Metro.co.uk) have you covered.

Here’s seven amazing thrillers we know you’re going need to get on board with.

Jason Bateman and Laura Linney lead the cast of this mob tale (Picture: Netflix)

Ozark

Jason Bateman stars in this thriller as financial planner Marty Byrd, who uproots his family and moves them to the Missouri Ozarks after landing in trouble with drug lords.

Forced into adjusting to their new life away from their Chicago home, things go from bad to worse as his past catches up with him.

The show is not afraid to pull the trigger and lose some major characters either – so noone is safe.

With season three only being released last week, it gives you plenty of time to catch up and see what the hype is about.

Plus, it’s totally stunning to look at, and very blue.

Fascinated by Pablo Escobar? This one’s for you (Picture: Netflix)

Narcos

If shady dealings based on real life is more your thing, then the tale of Pablo Escobar in Netflix’s Narcos is the one for you.

Running for three seasons, the story follows the cocaine ring of Colombia and the legendary drug dealer during the late 70s through to his death in 1993.

Starting off small, Escobar managed to create an unrivalled empire that has meant he is now recognised throughout the world as connected to the drug.

Expect lots of violence, a whole lotta drugs, and a lot of schemes in order to keep themselves afloat.

Spin-off/sequel Narcos: Mexico has now also been launched, with season one available now too.

Elite by name, Elite by nature (Picture: Netflix)

Elite

Featuring some of Money Heist’s leading stars, this gripping Spanish drama is not the high school drama the poster makes it look like.

Three teens from the ‘wrong side of the tracks’ are given a glimpse into a new life when they are granted scholarships to Spain’s most expensive and high profile schools, after dodgy dealings saw their own school collapse.

Intertwining the rich and the poor and their lifestyles, the trio are initially shunned and bullied by the preppy kids, but things soon take a turn as murder is soon added into the mix.

Elite is like Gossip Girl met Dexter and was left to unfold, but has also been praised for its portrayals of sexuality in its many forms as well as parental struggles and teen identities.

The tale of Tommy Shelby and the Birmingham gang will have you gripped (Picture: BBC)

Peaky Blinders

Set in Birmingham between the gap of World War I and II, Peaky Blinders follows a gang led by the Shelby brothers – with charismatic Tommy (Cillian Murphy) as their eccentric leader.

Known for their hairstyles and suits as much as their shady business dealings, the gang often run into trouble with rivals, the IRA, fascists and even find their way into politics as they try to get power, connection, and above all, money.

But family feuds and romantic bonds soon test all their patience, and it becomes difficult to know who to trust.

With five epically praised seasons in the bag, season six has been forced to be put on hold due to coronavirus – so now’s the time to get cracking.

You’ll be a Peaky f***ing Blinder and shaving your hair oddly in no time.

If you haven’t started watching Breaking Bad, what are you waiting for? (Picture: Netflix)

Breaking Bad

Well-meaning chemistry teacher Walter White (Bryan Cranston) is forced into the criminal underworld after discovering he has cancer.

Recruiting local drug dealer Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) the pair use his scientific knowledge to make and sell a brand new strain of crystal meth.

But what starts as a means to earn the cash needed for his treatment soon spirals out of control as Walter gets a taste for the power he had never had before, and the lure of being a feared drug kingpin is all too tempting.

Running for five seasons, the show ended in 2013, but was brought back for one last hurrah last year with special film El Camino to round out the story forever.

It’s definitely addictive.

El Chapo could be your next Netflix fave (Picture: Netflix)

El Chapo

Another drug cartel icon to spend some time delving into, El Chapo follows the tale of Joaquín Guzmán – the infamous man himself.

Charting his rise and fall over the case of three seasons, the story follows what happens the young Joaquín back in 1985 found himself getting involved in a crime syndicate, dubbed El Chapo for his short stature.

However, once he earned respect and power, he went to extreme lengths to maintain his place there.

Eventually leading the Sinaloa Cartel, his quest for power came at a cost, and ultimately led to him getting too big for his boots, sparking his downfall.

Doesn’t stop him making one or two daring escapes once he was caught though…

If a film is more what you’re after, then Triple Frontier could be the one for you (Picture: Netflix)

Triple Frontier

If you’re looking for something easy breezy, then you might want to look at film Triple Frontier, which won’t be a binge session, and instead just a movie night.

Starring Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac and Charlie Hunnam, Triple Frontier follows three ex-Special Force operatives as they plan a heist.

Deciding to swipe cash from a drug lord in Colombia, Santiago ‘Pope’ Garcia (Oscar Isaac) recruits his old friends to help complete the heist, and start a new life for themselves after years of service.
