#parent | #kids | #parents | #teensvaping | Parents Against Vaping (PAVe) is hosting a teen-only webinar , April 3, at 5:00 pm.

Debie Schnadt Program Coordinator Mono County Office of Education provided Sierra Wave Media with this important invitation:

Parents Against Vaping, hosting a teen-only webinar , April 3,  5:00pm.

This is an inaugural event for PAVe, part of a series of webinars led by young physicians. The webinar      will include opportunities to ask questions. Founded in  2018 by three moms as a grassroots response to the youth vaping epidemic, PAVe is a national advocacy and education organization.

Please invite kids ages 11-18 to join us this Friday at 5pm over Zoom for our first youth vaping education webinar, “Not Just Vapor.” RSVP here.

They are so excited to partner with physicians from Pediatrics at Columbia University and Mt. Sinai, to offer free digital educational programming for youth ages 11-18, beginning  Friday, 4/3 at 5pm.

During these webinars, youth will watch and listen to a short presentation on youth vaping by physician partners. They will have the opportunity to send in questions for doctors to answer live, and share their own experiences.

Given the COVID-19 pandemic, now more than ever it is critical to understand the added risks to lung health from vaping.

In February, PAVe partnered with NYU Langone’s Prevention and Education Partnership (PEP) to bring innovative programming for parents together with their middle- and high-school aged kids. They are proud to adapt PEP’s adolescent programming to reach youth across the country via webinar with exciting new partners at Columbia and Mt. Sinai.    RSVP now!

Can’t make it? Look out for more invites in the coming weeks, as they will hold several sessions for teens throughout early April.
