SCHENECTADY – An Albany man forced his way into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment Sunday evening and then fighting with members of the household as he tried to get in, authorities said.

He is also accused of doing so while three children were present in the home and in violation of an order of protection, according to police allegations filed in court.

Shadale Conner, 22, of Manning Boulevard, was arrested after the Sunday evening incident and charged with one count of second-degree burglary, a felony, three counts of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child and one count of misdemeanor criminal contempt.

Connor is accused of forcing his way into the South Avenue residence just before 10:30 p.m. Sunday while three children were present.

The misdemeanor criminal contempt charge relates to an order of protection issued against Connor in October by a Schenectady County Family Court judge where he had been ordered to completely stay away from the woman.

Connor was arraigned and ordered held on $1,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond, records show. He remained at the Schenectady County Jail Tuesday evening.
