A program called “Teen Vaping, It’s Not Just a Mist” will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18 in the Radnor High School Black Box Theatre.
The program will involve discussion regarding the ways young people are being impacted by vaping and ways they can be helped to break away from various external pressures. Vaping can involve flavored liquids, nicotine, or cannabis.
Attendees will learn about the implications of each, the dangers of vaping among teens, the types of vaping devices, and where youth are getting the vaping paraphernalia.
Featured speakers are Linda Schanne, chair of the Radnor Township Board of Health and Clinical Nurse Educator at Bryn Mawr Hospital, and Michael Blanche, a licensed clinical social worker and leading expert in the field of prevention who has more than 19 years of experience providing direct clinical treatment for those who are diagnosed with both addiction and other psychological issues.
The Radnor High School Alliance for Safe Kids (ASK) facilitates and promotes positive life choices by raising awareness for Radnor students, parents and teachers about at risk behaviors through supportive and developed informational programming.
