HERO COACH: New security camera video shows Keanon Lowe, a security guard and coach at Parkrose High School, disarming, embracing and comforting a distraught student who brought a loaded shotgun into a classroom.

FAILING FORESTRY: Oregon’s state forests are supposed to be managed to deliver a balance of benefits, from sustainable timber harvests to habitat for fish and wildlife, from clean air and drinking water to well-managed recreation spaces.
