Three foreign nationals have been federally indicted in a sophisticated counterfeiting operation that was uncovered with a 17-month undercover operation by ICE Homeland Security Investigations and the Secret Service that spanned two continents.

The operation allegedly produced as much as $2 million in counterfeit U.S. currency in Peru and the Dominican Republic.
