Suspects sought in St. Johns County credit card fraud

A man and woman accused of credit card fraud in connection to a vehicle break-in earlier this month, authorities said Wednesday. A couple reported someone had broken into their Toyota while it was parked at the Matanzas Beach ramp Oct. 1 and stolen two phones, a woman’s purse along with several credit cards, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The suspects were later captured in surveillance images passing off the victim’s credit cards as their own at a Publix in Ponte Vedra Beach along with a Target and Game Stop in Jacksonville Beach, deputies said.
