Dubai, March 12 : A Pakistani man and a woman from the Philippines have been sentenced to two months in prison in Dubai for having sex out of wedlock at the home of the woman’s sponsor.
The Dubai Misdemeanour Court convicted the 23-year-old Pakistani and the 27-year-old Filipina maid after they admitted their love blossomed after they met on Facebook, Gulf News reported Monday.
“We chatted for two weeks on Facebook and fell in love. She provided me with her contact number, she helped me sneak into her sponsor’s villa where we had sex,” the Pakistani man told the court.
Both will be deported after serving their jail terms.
Another Filipina woman was fined 2,000 dirhams (around USD 540) for helping the Pakistani get into the house.
The Pakistani was spotted by the sponsor’s cook while he was sneaking out of the house early one morning. The cook attempted to stop him but he escaped by scaling the compound wall.
He was identified from his passport that fell from his pocket, police said. (IANS)
