WILMINGTON, N.C. — Two suspects were arrested for assaulting an off-duty officer at a pub.
Surveillance video shows a man punch Wilmington Police Sgt. Curtis Stansbury inside the bar. After the fight, several people in the bar are seen trying to pull the man off the officer. Eventually they are successful.
The officer was first approached by another man who deputies said appeared to distract the officer, according to WECT. Both men involved were arrested, charged and booked.
Robert William Bogen, Jr. was charged with simple assault and misdemeanor conspiracy. Marc Connery Ingham — reportedly an attorney from Wake County — was charged with battery, assault and conspiracy.
