Warning Labels Help Teens Avoid Sugary Drinks

Teens eat and drink too much sugar. The average teen drinks at least one sugar-sweetened beverage per day. Many of those contain more than double the recommended daily serving of sugar. Experts have found a simple solution. In a new study, doctors placed warning labels on beverages. The labels noted that sugar causes obesity, diabetes, and tooth decay in teens. Doctors found teens consumed less sugar when confronted with the information on the labels.
