According to a report by Condé Nast Traveler, you are more likely to be killed by taking a selfie than from an encounter with a Great White Shark. A Wikipedia page is devoted to those who paid the ultimate price for merely shooting a self-portrait, using the front-facing camera on their phone. That site lists 18 events over the last two-years that resulted in a fatality, and four incidents where shooting a selfie led to a serious injury.
